I haven’t been to Thailand for a long time, but I totally agree with your tips! I like choosing accommodation that’s boutique and on the side of a luxury experience, which is very possible and affordable in Thailand. I tend to stay for 2-3 nights on each island, just so you have a feel of what the others have to offer.

I’ve been wanting to go to Thailand for a few years now. I hope to be able to go for my birthday next year. What a great group of tips that will help me plan out my trip. I like a more budget-friendly lodging option so I can spend more time and money on activities around the islands!

I have never been to Thailand but have several friends who have and I have been dreaming of visiting ever since. Love how many water related activities can be found. So many things to look at and consider. Cant wait to start planning for this trip with even more inspiration to help me.

Thailand was on my list this year beginning itself, but ended up visiting Singapore, but I will surely cover this place soon, the islands in Thailand look amazing in pictures especially the Koh Samui. Also just to compliment, your site looks amazing and you have a great way of presenting your posts, also a suggestion, please change the comments colour, its in white as of now and that makes it little difficult to read 🙂

Nice list of things to think about when planning a trip to Thailand. And those waters look amazing! I’m thrilled that you don’t suggest doing all the islands in a weekend. It seems so many people are cramming everything in a few days anymore rather than truly enjoying the location and Thailand really looks like one of those places where you want to take your time and explore all the little edges to see what you can find.

I had no idea that there were such beautiful islands in Thailand. I want to go so badly and try something new, as you say, like snorkeling. I imagine that I would go there one time in the spring. I hope the weather will be good when I go so I can enjoy the beach!

I have been to Bangkok but never been to Thai islands, but definitely would love to visit them in future. Your post is very informative in selecting the islands, as there are many options. According to me, I would prefer a beach bungalow at a quiet place.

That is a good list of considerations that one must have when picking their Thai islands. This makes it easy to narrow down to what you really would enjoy rather than run around in circles. Thanks for this helpful post

Thank you for this post! I have been wanting to travel to Thailand for reasons other than the beaches. This is really helpful! Thank you!

I’m going to Southeast Asia for the first time this summer, not Thailand though. Maybe next time. Looks beautiful! What an adventure ❤️
